In 1995, I received my BFA with a focus in Metals and Painting from the University of Texas at Austin. I have continued to paint and make sculptures over the past 21 years.  I have also taught art to children and adults in art centers and elementary schools. Inspired by working with people with disabilities and assisting an art therapist, I achieved my MA in Art Therapy in 2002 from Naropa University in Boulder, CO. After a few years exploring art as therapy with elders, and marrying my soul mate, my first son arrived. In 2006, baby on my back, my paintings evolved into whimsical expressions of animals. I began selling my art in handmade markets. After a few years, my work evolved into abstract expression of line and color.

I enjoy painting and creating art solo and with my children in my studio nestled in Lyons, CO.
